I was the only one who laughed in my theater. And it was a very Doctor Who savvy crowd that cheered at every reference.
And I just thought to myself, ‘So the only crazy anglophile and Sherlock fan then’. Because yeah I was really amused at that.
Though I think they added the line because it does seem like something they’d use for an excuse rather a lot.

So the other day I realized that I’m a fanfic hipster. I’m not sure if that’s the best term but it’s as close as I can come up with. And I don’t mean to be. It’s just that I never filter by kudos.I rarely take recs which are listed as things like ”The top ten fanfic every Sherlock or Johnlock fan should read”. If the fanfic has a fandom of its own that attacks people when they dislike the popular work then it turns me off.Honestly like 95% of the fics I’ve read were because I randomly found them and I dislike people saying I should read anything.And okay fine I am a bit turned off when something is really popular.

Just wanted to point out that Cardiff is in Wales not England. haha. as I live there it really annoys me that people think its England please dont be offended i'm just letting you know :)

I actually do know that Cardiff is in Wales as I had a lovely friend who was proudly (as if there is any other kind) Welsh and drilled little facts like that into my head. They got a cool dragon on their flag!
I thiiiiink the only reason I typed that was due to a vast amount of alcohol sloshing around my brain and that I was trying to explain to a friend who wouldn’t really know anything about the area.
I mean she needed to understand that she was going overseas to spread my ashes. I don’t know if Wales would’ve done that actually as I don’t know if she knows anything other than “England” in general. Of course she could’ve googled…..
I am confident that if she went to the ticket counter and told the ticket agent that she wanted to go to “Cardiff England” then they’d point her in the right direction…well as long as she didn’t mention the whole ashes plans.
Sooo I think I said it that way as it might have seemed easier to explain it that way….. I think? Or fuck it …maybe I just forgot in that moment.
Other than that I don’t know.
I am quite sorry however for the mistake.
Also for making plans to have someone make my ex (your fellow countryman) eat my ashes in a pie. I’m obviously a very cruel and mislabeling drunk.

So who wants to read my very first TV script? I wrote it around March of 2012 and it’s only like the first act really (well kinda).
Ya know what I’m not going to do the “OH MY GOD IT IS THE WORST THING EVER” thing because it’s actually not. It still has potential and I honestly would finish it if there was a point but (as I learned when I started to actually study the business/craft/etc) you don’t spec shows off the air.It’s not really in the right format. I’m giving direction that you don’t give when you write spec scripts but it is my first so ya know.
I went back to read it tonight for a few reasons
1) I couldn’t remember my first try at writing tv
2) I wanted to see if I could steal some dialogue for another spec (as you often do)
3) I wanted to remember how long I’ve been at this… and fuck me it hasn’t even been a full two years really. Before that I was working on other projects and not really understanding what I wanted to do.
I’m not saying I couldn’t be further along but ya know….will try to not kick myself for not being a showrunner when I really have only just begun.
