This Elizabethan gown was originally designed by Sandy Powell for the 1998 film Shakespeare In Love, for which she won an Oscar for Best Costume Design.
The gown was originally worn by Jill Baker as Lady De Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love, and then in 2005 on Sarrah Parrish as Beatrice in the Shakespeare Retold episode Much Ado About Nothing. In 2007, it was seen a third time in the Doctor Who episode The Shakespeare Code, where it was worn on Christina Cole as Lilith. The fourth time it was seen was seen in 2011 in The King James’s Biible: The Book That Changed the World.

Ugh I still can’t decide how I feel about him. That is true. Very true. But it’s like if you just wipe away his past then you forget that it is the choices we make that have so many effects on so much (LIKE ALMOST THE WHOLE LESSON OF THE DAMN BOOK).
Yes! In the end he was lovely buuuuut if he had chose another path of non-douchery then LIVES would have been saved. Including the one he cared about so much and likely even his.
I think JK did a bang up job with these books and it’s important that whoever reads them doesn’t think one way or the other. Snape isn’t just good. Snape isn’t just bad. Snape (like all humans) is a whole big bag of many, many things. BUT one of those things he chose caused death, torture, and a lot of fuckin unhappiness all around.
Of course if he hadn’t then we’d have a totally different story. I’m just saying I hate the whole… let’s just pretend like because he ended it well then it’s all gravy. It is most decidedly NOT GRAVY!
