It’s not your fault! The fic you sent me is pretty great and I found a few others that were really, really good. I suppose it’s no different from any other tag, in the end. The anti-Semitic Sherlock fic was upsetting though…
I’m glad you liked it! I didn’t notice anything particularly problematic in it when I looked over it (it had been a while since I’d read it), but I’m not really well-informed enough to make that call when it comes to subtly problematic things as opposed to, like, big obvious wrong things. I am sorry about the Sherlock one though.
The fic you sent me was well researched, respectful, and generally well written, so that didn’t hurt either. And yeah, the Sherlock fic was rough. In literally every way.
Oh crap. Now I’m afraid to look.

I am one of those non-Jewish people who wrote a really bad Sherlock fanfic just because I felt that the section was lacking and my research was really poor as well so now I feel bad. I just used my friends and incredibly pooooor translations. So… sorry.

Dying a little. Me and northray have been working on a Christmas story together and I send her the wrong copy of notes. Notes that were very insane! When I beta I start out writing just random notes say like“add in relationship tersy no talk thingy blah blah blah.” She got to see that copy of the notes and not the updated sensible version. But instead of thinking I was insaaaaaane she actually looked at the notes and responded. Oh God she is so sweet and I am so embarrassed. Ima go drink some of my Christmas present now.

So a few of my presents this year…. I’m obviously quite chuffed about the 18 year old scotch since I started drinking it yesterday. Anyhoo that is mah Rory and Bilbo protecting my scotch. Alternatively its Rorschach looking down at poor Bilbo and saying “No” he won’t help him….

I desperately want to use that Neil Gaiman “make mistakes” as our quote of the year in the company newsletter but it’s too long for the space I’ve allotted. And I think just saying “make mistakes” in a business that deals in finance…prolly isn’t the smartest message. Dammit.

Edit: Never mind. I figured it out. If I make it a 9 font then I can fit it and fuck it…ima do that.
