Between this and the story about him reassuring F. Scott Fitzgerald re dick size, I’m developing a picture of Hemingway as the mother hen of the disaffected white male literary set of the early 20th century.
He probably called up Steinbeck sometimes and was like I CAN’T EVEN WITH THESE DIPSHITS and Steinbeck was all “That’s what you get for living in Paris, asshole”.

EW Lays Off Longtime Film Critic Owen Gleiberman in Staff Purge:

Owen Gleiberman, the longtime film critic for Entertainment Weekly, has been let go as part of ongoing layoffs at the magazine as Time Inc restructures ahead of a spinoff from Time Warner.

Jesus. This is legitimately concerning at this point. I mean Lisa leaving sucked. Annie leaving sucked. Ken leaving sucked. But now OWEN? (whom okay I don’t even know except I’ve read and cared about his opinion for ages) Jesus.

I saw the Let’s Draw Sherlock culture swap and I can’t draw but I really wanted an homage to the South (my home prior to NYC) included. So I commissioned the wonderful Abitto for this piece and gosh isn’t it beautiful?
Because cuddles in the back of a pick-up truck beneath the stars is a really wonderful thing.
And the stars at night really are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas.
