What fics do you go back to repeatedly?
I’d love to hear what fics you guys read over and over again. It doesn’t even necessarily have to be Sherlock fics (although if they’re not, totally tell me what fandom they are).
I’ll try to think of a few myself! Or, I mean, find out the titles of them and get some links and then post. :D

I don’t usually re-read much, but rather remember fics fondly. I think people who hate her would benefit from taking a closer look at why they do.
Jess fits a shit-ton of female stereotypes, of characteristics that are widely considered to be feminine in essence. Her behaviour, her appearance, her personality, the cute, the quirky, the sensitivity, the way she hangs on to a guy who treats her badly, the fact that she deals with a bad breakup by marathoning Dirty Dancing and sobbing into her ice cream are so stereotypical they’ve turned into societal expectations shoved down the throat of anyone born with a vagina. She seems to represent the archetypal feminine woman people have spent your life telling you you should be.
I get that it’s a bitter pill to swallow, and you are right to dismiss anyone who tries to control or judge your behaviour based on those stereotypes.
But you don’t get to hate her for seeming to fit effortlessly into all those boxes that society has caged you with. You don’t get to hate her, or judge her for being herself. You don’t get to dictate who she (or women like her) should be. You don’t get to turn around and do to her the exact same injustice society has done to you.
It seems to happen all the time. Yes we should fight against the idea that women can’t work a career as well as a man, but don’t belittle someone for aspiring to be a stay-at-home mother. Yes, the pressure society puts of women to be ever thinner is problematic and the normative aspect of it should be challenged, but that doesn’t give you the right to bully thin people, or people who want to diet.
Let’s be strong, and fight together for the right to be ourselves, but please, try to respect what that may mean for each individual.
