and like frozen just has such mediocre animation like holy balls. and i would find it excusable if it was a lesser studio but man this is DISNEY
like, this is a background from the book of life which was from a tiny studio thats only made one animated film before and had a budget of 50 million
this is the inside of elsa’s ice castle from disney, the most famous animation house ever with the best talent, with a budget of 150 million
I usually try not to get involved in these things but honestly this is a silly post of epic proportions. I cannot fathom why you’d compare a single setting in a film to another and be like, “Yep. Based on this one frame, this movie is clearly artistically superior in every way.”
You’re entitled to love the style and art direction of The Book of Life all you want, and Frozen is not without its problems, but I just don’t understand the pettiness of trashing one animation studio’s work to validate another.
