Okay. So I know how petitions work. Petitions raise awareness. Sometimes to just the right people. Sometimes to people who were not aware of the issue until they saw the petition in front of them. And many times those people become educated on the issue. And then those people call their leaders, they vote, they effect change. Petitions may not effect change immediately but they do help. What doesn’t help? snide lil tumblr posts and lazy people.
