So I finished my script and got notes. I’ll be trying to incorporate those in tonight and hopefully submit tomorrow. I say hopefully because the HBO emerging writers is only accepting the first 1,000 applications. It’s free and anyone can submit so who knows if I’ll even get to submit mine but I’m hoping I can.
Do I think I’ll make it to the next round? Hell yeah!

I’ve learned that I can finish a fuckin script in 7 days while working a full-time job. I’ve learned to “just get the first draft out” because there is no way to make it perfect the first time. I’ve learned that waiting for someone to finish reading your drama script is less stressful than listening to someone not-laugh at your comedy script. I learned that deadlines are my fuckin friend. Having that deadline drove me further, faster, and another f-word-er.
But most of all I learned…..
I still want this.
