I think with cinematography n shit the question is always how much are they just trying to make it look good and how much is truly in aide to the story? And I like commentaries that talk about that kind of shit a lot. I wanna say M. night used to do good commentaries where he explained that stuff. Like on sixth sense and I think unbreakable too. Commentaries used to be about that stuff and not just funny bts stuff. Laser disc commentaries wanted to truly comment on the movie. And I miss those real commentaries meant for buffs—from novice to expert. Or maybe I’m not watching the right ones anymore.
