no don’t worry i’m not judging you! im actually kind of mad at the show because i think they portrayed her in a positive way when she’s really horrible. This is about ep 13, im actually not caught up yet either.
So when she first got to annalise’s house all she did was bitch about how annalise was rich now, and that alone pissed me off because she should be proud of her daughter for working her ass off and being successful. the there was the line “I wiped your ass and I’ll call you anything I want.” with her refusing to stop calling her ann may - I HATE when parents say shit like that, doing basic things required of you as a parent doesn’t earn you any right to be like that to your child, she decided to have a kid, so she decided to take on the responsibility of wiping that kid’s ass, etc.
THEN she said she doesn’t think women are capable of rape, and that women are made to nurture and love. And I think that’s a disgusting opinion.
THENNN we find out that Annalise was raped by her uncle as a child; at the end of the ep we find out her mom killed him by burning the house down around him, which is good and the act itself is badass, but I don’t think that’s enough. Annalise needed her mother’s support; she knew it happened, so she should have talked to her child about it and gotten her help and a support system!!!! Neglecting to do that is in my opinion, definitely child neglect and possibly child abuse.
ANYWAY sorry for the long rant!
