Twitter Hashtag of the Day: #EmojiArtHistory
Over the past several days, the Twitter hashtag#EmojiArtHistory has been serving up emoji interpretations of famed masterpieces in art history. Started by a group of Twitter users including JiaJia Fei, Man Bartlett and Magda Sawon, it was picked up earlier this week by Los Angeles’ J. Paul Getty Museum and London’s Tate Modern. As of today, it’s been tweeted more than 1,600 times and the Daily Dot has launched a single topic Tumblr to highlight some of the best works.
