Well…Metatron couldn’t have done it without Castiel and the spell…so ya know…um…Castiel did kinda do it.

By that logic it’s Sam’s fault that all the seals were broken.

Cas didn’t know he was doing that, that was not his intention. 

I’m sure he’ll FEEL guilty, but I’m saying he wasn’t complicit.
