I’ve been wanting to make something for Red Pants Monday for a very, very long time. I’m glad I finally got the time to do it.
This started off as a sketch for a friend, to illustrate a scene from a college AU we’ve been chatting about for the past couple of days. It breaks my heart to represent the toll Holmes’ drug use takes on him — how he’s so skinny he looks like he’s nothing but corners, how his eyes look like bruises on a skull — but even more bittersweet is how absolutely unaffected Watson is by his appearance. He doesn’t shy away because he knows everything else that Holmes is.
