These two old white people are my new landlords.
I say it like that because it’s important to know this.
They are white.
They are elderly.
They rented to me.
I was seen by younger people than them and well we all know that story. “Sorry nothing against you, I don’t rent to people who aren’t white.”
But these two older (like sixties or more) white people met me and loved me.
They told my broker “If she wants the place jump on her. She is amazing.”
I was also chose over other people who were actually white. Because I’m awesome.
They loved me. They LOVED me.
Because I am a motherfuckin delight.
And I am not just the color of my skin.
And my race doesn’t define how well I’ll pay my bills. As one broker said “Wow that’s a beautiful score. Better than me!”
And I’ll be getting a discount on the rent too. More than he was initially offering…
BECAUSE I AM A FUCKIN DELIGHT.
And racism doesn’t have an age on it.
And did I mention I am a fuckin delight?
