I wrote this post saying: “In true “Peter Jackson Adapting Stories About Middle Earth” fashion, The Hobbit will feature an actress I can’t stand playing a female elf. Welcome to the fold, Liv Ty…. I mean Evangeline Lilly.”

And being as it was about Evangeline Lilly I tagged it as such. That’s it. Nothing more. No trash talking, just said *I* can’t stand her. Which has so far gotten me that last lovely ask, and another accusing me of having internalized misogyny for disliking Kate Austen.

Some people just feel the need to create OMGZ INTERNET DRAMAS over nothing.

But there is truly no reason to tag your hate. The only people following the tag are people who like that person/thing so to tag it is to say “Hey people who like this thing, I’m going to shit talk about it.” Which okay fine…if you’re going to be that person..be that person. But don’t act shocked about the fact that someone was annoyed about it. You essentially created a huge fucking arrow to your post and aimed it at people who would be annoyed to see it.

Actually there is another reason to tag it that way… because I can find and sort my own posts using my tags. People can be annoyed that’s fine, I’m not *shocked* by it, but it’s absolutely disingenuous to act like the response is proportional. I see people saying they don’t like things in tags all the time. What do I do when I see that? Nothing. I move the fuck on. People are entitled to their own opinions, especially on their own tumblr. If I could remove certain posts from being publicly searchable I would. Also, I DIDN’T talk shit about her. I said *I* couldn’t stand her. Huge difference. Trash talking her would be saying I think she’s a mediocre actress that is only famous for being on what turned out to be a mediocre television show. See the difference? Subtly I guess has no place on the internet, along with reason, people who share different opinions…. etc. Trolling and making a post on MY OWN tumblr and using a tag so that I CAN FIND IT LATER are NOT the same thing. I’m suddenly remembering why I usually just reblog photos on tumblr instead of posting an opinion in a text post.

And I’m done.

Oh come on…you do not want to find the tag later on. I mean really be honest. You will never be sat around one day going “Gosh I really want to find that post of me being annoyed about an actress being cast in a movie. I must TAG it. Indeed this event shall come to pass and I will be eternally grateful that I tagged this post. pip, pip”.

I’m not a follower of that tag. I followed you but come now. come now. seriously. aren’t you too old for that shit?
