We saw Book of Mormon. Finally. After 2 years we finally saw the damn show. The boy loved it. I liked it. I think the hype kinda killed it for me. But golly happy to finally see it.
We also karaoked. I stuck mostly to Broadway tunes. He sang Linkin Park.
Went by MIdtown comics and again the boy didn’t buy anything. I will never understand why he likes to go to there and not buy things. He loves going to stores and not buying things. That is just madness to me.
Oh also stopped by the Imperial just to seeee where Les Mis will be playing. It’s in previews now. I can’t effin wait to see it again.
And uh spent a good deal of time in Times Square.
So uh good day of playing hooky overall.
I’m exhausted though.

i had all these symptoms once and they sent me right to hospital

Jealous. Fun. Did he pick up Hawkeye last week, then? PHANTOM!!!
He’s already read it online. I think he said something about the ending being not as shocking as people were saying. That’s honestly all I remember about it. And Saturday he picked up Deadpool. Honestly he reads scans or does internet subscriptions for most of the stuff he reads so I get why he doesn’t buy comics in person. It’s just weird to keep going there and not buying anything.

I have always hated this show—frankly I have only seen bits of it, and that was enough to remind me why I pretty much never watch American network TV. Seriously, the writing and the acting (as much as I love Kat Dennings) is fucking awful.
But is there any real surprise that this is on a show produced by the network that owns Elementary?
Yeah I actually did debate the reblog because of it. It’s a rather problematic show. I still remember being somewhat excited for the show. I liked Kat Dennings. The idea was decent for a sitcom. Then I tuned in and God it just…it’s never been a good show. So I debated the reblog for a variety of reasons but in the end just went with it. The positives of it being that Benedict is mainstream enough for this joke? I guess that’s…like almost something?

Some of you may have heard the hilarious news. I thought this would be a good time to weigh in. to answer some obvious questions: No, we had no idea this was coming. Yes, we will finish out the season. No, I don’t think the WB is doing the right thing. Yes, I’m grateful they did it early enough for my people to find other jobs.
Yes, my heart is breaking.
When Buffy ended, I was tapped out and ready to send it off. When Firefly got the axe, I went into a state of denial so huge it may very well cause a movie. But Angel… we really were starting to feel like we were on top, hitting our stride — and then we strode right into the Pit of Snakes ‘n’ Lava. I’m so into these characters, these actors, the situations we’re building… you wanna know how I feel? Watch the first act of “The Body.”
As far as TV movies or whatever, I’m not thinking that far ahead. I actually hope my actors and writers are all too busy. We always planned this season finale to be a great capper to the season and the show in general. (And a great platform for a new season, of course.) We’ll proceed ahead as planned.
I’ve never made mainstream TV very well. I like surprises, and TV isn’t about surprises, unless the surprise is who gets voted off of something. I’ve been lucky to sneak this strange, strange show over the airwaves for as long as I have. I don’t FEEL lucky, but I understand that I am.
Thanks all for your support, your community, and your perfectly sane devotion. It’s meant a lot. I regret nothing (except the string of grisley murders in the 80’s — what was THAT all about?) Remember the words of the poet:
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the road less traveled by and they CANCELLED MY FRIKKIN’ SHOW. I totally shoulda took the road that had all those people on it. Damn."
