African-American Girls & Women Killed By Police: Speak Their Names. See Their Faces. Know Their Stories.
There is this false myth going around that Black women are not victims of police violence. I believe the myth exists because quite frankly the media, social justice organizations and we the public tend not to focus on it. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy. I hope this post will make all of us change our minds. Here are the stories of some of the Black women and girls killed by law enforcement:

i am mentally writing the next chapter. it is john writing sherlock a letter telling him how hellish it’s been without him and how he doesn’t think he’ll ever forgive him
and then the next chapter sherlock writes a long letter explaining everything and he ends it saying he’ll never bother john again but he’ll take the memories of all their time together with him and he’ll keep the chat window open every day just on the hope that john will want to talk…. and three months goes by and one day john says william, i mean sherlock are you there? and then it all works out. there. done.

if it takes THREE MONTHS (!!!!) i think we’ll all have gone off the deep end… but you make it sound horrifically plausible.
Well she did say at the start “I expect the full series of communications will take at least a few months to play out.” Sooooo maaaybe :(
Hey everyone :)) Before we announce the next challenge, there is an update we need to share. Unfortunately, the next challenge will be our last.
Let’s Draw Sherlock had a seriously good, long run. I personally have felt really proud to have been part of it, through all our ups and downs, and that people have continued to contribute every month. However, I know I feel, as do some of our other mods, that it’s run its course. It’s a lot of work to queue posts, come up with challenges, etc, every month, and rather than recruit more people to keep stringing it along, it just feels like the right time to retire. For now, at least~
That said, our sort of sister blog, letswritesherlock, is still alive! I’d also like to invite anyone out there who also runs any kind of Sherlock challenge or collab blog to send us a note, and we’ll rec you in a post at the end of this month, so that the artists who still looked forward to our challenges every month might have someplace to go. If you were thinking of starting your own challenge blog, now is a good time! We’ll boost you!
Our last challenge will run through the end of the month, as usual. At that point, if there is any post from any past challenge that we missed, if you would like to send us that url then we might be able to reblog it then. After that some of our mods would like to write some goodbyes and then we’ll be done! We will still leave the blog up for your perusal, but we will be closing our askbox then and nothing further will be posted.
I won’t completely rule out the chance that we may revive this blog in the future after S4, if it seems like there is a place for it. However, I’d be much happier to see new groups and new kinds of collaborations and challenges take the spotlight in that new generation of our fandom. Here’s hoping!

okay so shut up but what’s neat is to see them translating little bits of the story from English to Mandarin so the others who can’t understand what’s happening in one section can now understand it and I know it’s dumb but this is neat.
Our challenge for February is Sherlock characters participating in a LDS past challenge (and failing!) You can choose any character or characters in Sherlock (any version, BBC, RDJ, etc) for the challenge. Entries can feature one character or a number of different characters.
Any previous LDS challenge can be used (although some challenges are better suited to this than others - so choose carefully!) Details of all previous challenges can be found here.
An important part of this challenge is the characters trying to participate in the challenge but failing. For example: J&S as French stereotypes, Toby the cat not posing for his cat!lock photo, Irene drawing J&S kissing instead of following the portrait guidelines. The characters should break the fourth wall and be aware of the blog and LDS challenge, but not aware of the artist.
As Reaper’s previous post stated, this challenge will be the last for LDS, so we’d love to see lots of entries!

Dude it was one of those suggested videos next to something I was already viewing and I wouldn’t have even clicked it but his face looked so gorram innocent next to those ridiculous abs and biceps and I was like….hold up I gotta check this shit out.
