Sherlock’s Rupert Graves has landed a lead role in one of ABC’s upcoming pilots, the still untitled project written by Jenna Bans and directed by Paul McGuigan.
The drama will follow the return of a politician’s (Claire, portrayed by Joan Allen) young son, Adam Warren (played by Liam James), who was presumed dead after disappearing more than a decade earlier. Graves is set to play John, Claire’s handsome, warm and charismatic husband: for the past twelve years he has poured his energy into writing a book series about grief as the loss of their child took a toll on his marriage.
Also in the cast, Andrew McCarthy, Alison Pill, Zach Gilford, Floriana Lima, Margot Bingham and Madeleine Arthur.So I guess something *did* come of his trip to Los Angeles after all! Let’s hope it’s successful and that it will get picked up.
