But where are gifsets of Mercedes and her momma?

Many people who watched(including critics) didn’t know it was her mother.

I went back and forth a couple times until I realized it. They didn’t properly introduce her as her mother like they did the rest of the parents.

I had no idea that was her mom.

I know that you don’t want to keep repeating your characters names. I know that especially if you’re writing a couple with the same pronouns you need to repeat their names a LOT to distinguish them from each other. I know it feels like it must sound awkward. I suffer from the same problem.

But I promise you, I promise you, that it does not sound half so awkward as referring to the characters by their hair or eye color, or age, or some particular role they hold, when that detail has nothing to do with the rest of the sentence. The names mostly fade into the background. The needless, repetitive descriptor is weird and clunky and gets old much more quickly.

What a nice way to say this. This is definitely a thing that new writers do, but every time I see it mentioned people are uber douchey about it.

It’s a mistake and not the worst of them.

And honestly it’s not noticeable to everyone so there’s no need to be a dick about it.

Just reminding them of fics they read where the names fall to the background is the best way. So this is a nice way to help people learn this.

So thanks.

I need to hot comb my hair.

This is something I’ve not done in 15 years. I fell in love with braids then weaves and wigs so I’ve been keeping my hair short and cutting my hair for over a decade.

But randomly I found a natural style that I frikkin love and I’d like to try it, but I need my hair to be longer than a snap so I’ve been letting it grow out.

Still it’s not ready yet and I’d prefer not to relax it so I think hot combing might be the only option unless hair treatments have changed in the last decade….which they prolly have.

Anyhoo today is black hair research day. I’m interested to see what I’ve missed in the last ten-ish years.

So what happens if two people who have promised their firstborn to separate witches have a child together? Do they both just pop up in the nursery and have a custody battle?

I need a book about a little girl whose parents had promised their firstborn to different witches and the only way that both ends of the deal were fulfilled was for them to have joint custody of the child.

I love it!

And then the witches, forced to share a cottage while raising their joint stolen child, fall in love…
