I’m glad that he clarified, & his words were obviously deliberately miscontrued by a hack of a journalist looking for clickbait, so I understand if his response isn’t going to be the best.
I do think we could have done without the ‘yelling’ accusation, none of the responses I saw him tagged in honestly went beyond the level of ‘sternly disappointed’, in my books, but then again, I was the source of a number of those tweets….
But I’m really glad he said something about it, because he didn’t have to.

Aydian Ethan Dowling is on the fast track to become Men’s Health’s first trans cover model. The Oregon artist, entrepreneur and fitness pro is currently sitting in the number one slot in MH’s Ultimate Guy Search, which scores the winner a much-coveted cover.
The magazine says the Ultimate Guy is “fit and fearless, a doer who gives back and leads by example.”
Well, we certainly think he’s cover-model material. And so do voters—Aydian is beating the next highest contender almost two-to-one.
“Giving back is a large part of my life. I started the first YouTube collaboration BeefHeads Fitness, a channel geared towards transgender individuals looking to get fit and healthy, says Dowling, who also owns the trans-friendly Point 5cc clothing and has already appeared on the cover of FTM magazine.

As a trainer, he’s worked with other trans men and “[feels] very proud to see their self confidence grow.”
