I am 1 follower away from a rather large number on the Benedict blog. Which is really impressive as I:
a) Am really quite shit at returning asks/replies. Like honestly just the fuckin worst. People send me shit and I’m like blah blah I don’t care. Unless it’s interesting, I am really hard to engage.
b) Just can’t follow everyone back (even between this blog and the other blog and the other blog).
c) Just cannot tolerate people entirely because they’re popular in the fandom. I know people that do. They secretly hate people in this fandom and then black list them/mute them but won’t unfollow.
NO. Honestly you guys If you ever want to unfollow me then just fuckin unfollow me. Life goes on…. It really does. When I load my second dash I see people get so upset about it all. I have a pretty clean dash here but damn sometimes you see these lil wars break out that are just sad.
People get really upset about not being popular in the fandom and just like dude I am old as balls. I will not be held hostage by some kid who doesn’t like my blog. So I don’t follow a lot of big blogs when I feel they’re douches. (btw not talking about anyone who can read this).
Having a popular tumblr CAN translate into cool things but mostly….no, no it doesn’t. Not without original content or a really kick ass dessert on the menu of plenty.
D) Hate the fuck out of Mary (I’m waiting on a meta to turn me around on her character on bbc sherlock). Though I’ll mostly rant over here, I think it’s pretty obvious I will not suffer fools when it comes to that debate
E) Has never publicly acknowledged a follow forever listing because honestly They’re fuckin dumb. I’m sorry. I know some people have placed me on them and maybe it’s because I was forged in livejournal but I have hated every incarnation of follow listings. I hate follow fridays on twitter. I hate follow fives on live journal. I hate anything that tells people to follow another person unless it’s a random one-off. Also , also they’re bullshit. Just very recently someone who had me on their follow forever for almost as long as I’ve had that blog took me off because I hate Mary. so ya know… obviously not forever heh. I actually giggled at my removal though so I supposed follow forevers can provide some amusement.
And I don’t know why I am talking about this. And heh I suppose it almost sound ranty but it’s not. I’m amused mostly. I’m amused that the clique mentally can never really be killed and that people fall into it so easily.
And maybe it’s because I’ve lived on the outskirts of fitting in for SO much of my life but I just…don’t…care. Tumblr is lovely and I love it. It’s been so much fun. It really has. There are people that I call family here. There are things that I adore. I was proud of us when we were sold for a frikkin billion dollars to Yahoo because we are all pretty damn cool. But tumblr is also temporary. Take it from someone who has seen the rise and fall of many websites. Don’t let tumblr matter as more than a jumping off point to meet people you like, share ideas„ etc.
Heh I sound very ranty but I’m sitting here chilling to loro by pinback and you can’t be ranty listening to it.
