I can’t log onto the Twitter website at all. I’ve tried unlocking it several times. I can still get mobile alerts for the people I’ve signed up to follow and tweet from text message on my phone, but I can’t change any of my settings.
Someone hacked my account at one point and even though I managed to unlock it once, apparently I can’t keep doing that. Plus their password restrictions are bullshit.That’s weird! I’m sorry your twitter is being all stupid. I wish I had a friend at twitter I could offer up to fix things for you, but alas. Anyone?

At my school we have to do something called an ALICE drill. Basically the idea is that if an intruder comes in with a gun it is better to try and escape or barricade your classroom door than just sit and wait for a the guy to come in and kill you. So this is the practice barricade we build in my class to fall on the intruder if he opened the door.
okay, seriously. What person is going to fall for a ton of kids hiding in the corner of the room when all their shit is on their desks, the comptuers are on. It’s in the middle of school hours. What. Fucking. Person. Would. Fall. For. That. This is an amazing idea and should be done in all school instead of having us hide in the fucking corner in a dark room.
They just implemented this into my school, and they said that if the barricades don’t work we get to throw stuff at them or go out the window onto the next buildings roof

Okay but can we pause for a second to recognize how seriously fucked up it is that this has become nessecary in American schools? Because it is absolutely 100% fucked up.
At my last school, we had these drills, and I (the teacher) also had to submit a typed plan of action detailing what I would do if/when a shooter entered my classroom.
My official, APPROVED BY MY BOSS plan was, “Throw myself on the gunman in the hopes that some of my students would be able to escape while he killed me.”
That’s what is expected (and likely what I would do, anyway, out of maternal rage). When we did the drills, all the students huddled in the far corner with their belongings, in silence and darkness, while I stood closest to the locked door, a desk chair held legs-out in my flexed arms, so I would be in place if the principal unlocked the door and came in to check.
Oh, and we had to share our plans with our students, and explain why we were positioned like that. Some of them were pretty upset to play “massacre” for those twenty minutes, imagining what it would be like if a gunman burst in to kill us.
But, you know, the NRA needs to have its “rights” protected at all costs.
